Help Ana and Mike with all the unexpected costs

Dear Friends and Community,

As many of you know, Ana Alvarez, beloved member of our Oroville family, and her Husband Mike have recently faced the unimaginable tragedy like so many recently. They lost their home in Altadena, a place they poured their hearts, blood, sweat, and tears into creating. This beautiful couple has already endured so much; from caring for Ana's younger brother Manny, who’s been in and out of the hospital for 30 years, to both Mike and Ana losing their fathers in past years.

It’s heartbreaking to see them go through this, especially knowing how kind and generous they are to everyone around them. If you remember Ana A from LP High School, class of 2001, you know just how special and kind she is.

This picture was of them cooking in their kitchen, one of their favorite things to do. Mike and Ana loved bringing people into their home, feeding them, and making everyone feel like they were part of the family. That warmth and hospitality is something we all cherish and miss.

We are reaching out to ask for your support during this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will help them rebuild their lives and find stability once again. Let’s come together as a community to show Mike and Ana that they are not alone in this fight.
