Help our Nanny grieving her son and partner
Donation protected
Our nanny, Ana, has unfortunately suffered great loss recently. In the Fall, her son passed away in Guatemala after complications from a gunshot wound. He was shot in the stomach while two men stole his bike. And earlier this week, her partner suddenly passed away from a heart attack.
We are raising money to help her cover travel and funeral expenses from her son’s death. And living expenses so that she is able to take time to care for herself after the loss of her son and partner.
She has endured so much in her lifetime. The death of her first husband during the civil war in El Salvador ultimately led her to immigrate to America - seeking asylum and a better life for her kids. Despite all of her pain and all of her hardship, she has always persevered and kept her faith in God. Ana has always pushed forward. She taught herself English, became a citizen and helped bring many of her family members to America for a safer life.
Ana has taken care of so many people during her sixty six years. From her own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to the many kids she has nannied over the years, she has contributed so much good to this world. And now it is time for us to help her after she has suffered such devastating loss.
Ana is the matriarch of her family and financially supports many of them both here and in Guatemala.
We greatly appreciate anything you can give in support.
