My name is Adam Nabali, I am currently in Australia and helping in raising funds for Anas and his family to get them out of Gaza.
the funds will be transferred to Anas who is currently in UAE, so he can transfer the money to his family in Gaza to pay the fees and get them out of Gaza through Egypt. Below is the message I got from Anas.
Hello, my name is Anas Ershi. I am 29 years old from Gaza, from the city of Deir al-Balah. I am married and the father of two children, Maryam and Omar. My family is my parents, my three brothers, my married sister, and her two children.
I have lived in Gaza all my life, in beautiful Gaza. I survived more than six Israeli attacks before I left Palestine to escape poverty and unemployment to seek and search for work inside the United Arab Emirates to provide relief to my family, my wife, and my children there inside Gaza.
To be honest, it was easier for me to be among my family in Gaza under heavy Israeli bombing than to watch everything unfold on the news.
Since the start of the attack on Gaza after October 7, my family has been displaced more than three times inside the central city of Deir al-Balah. On October 22, the house of my great and youngest uncles was bombed, and 62 of them were martyred. Our house was damaged by the bombing, which led to my family fleeing to a shelter center inside the Martyrs’ School in The city: A tent was set up inside the school yard amid harsh conditions in the southern Gaza Strip. They face difficult conditions as they lack food, clean water and warmth in these cold days.
They are in a dangerous area in the city of Deir al-Balah and are so close to constant bombing that no one can guarantee their lives the next day. I struggled a lot just trying to talk to them as the internet is down most of the time when it's not a complete blackout. There is no food or resources left in Gaza that will lead to starvation soon, let alone the astronomical prices if some food is available. Seeing what happens to my family while I am away is devastating me, and I am trying to find any way possible to get them out of there alive.
I lost many relatives and friends while I was here in the UAE and I was unable to do anything about it. My only wish is not to hear the same news about my family.
Helping my family evacuate to Egypt will only be possible with the help of people outside Gaza. Passing through the Egyptian border is very difficult as it costs 7 to 9 thousand dollars per person. The goal of my campaign is to get them out of Gaza across the Egyptian border, pay for their visas and passports, and get a small amount of money to cover temporary residency expenses.
