Help and support for Matt Gough

Hi Everyone,

The GoFundMe website gives tips on how to start this section. It's called "Tell you story," and it says to tell "what you're raising funds for." I can't type that because it's not just me raising funds for Matt, it's all of us.

As most of you know, Matt has been in the hospital since Christmas Day battling pneumonia and the flu. As I write this a little over four weeks later, I'm happy to report that I just spoke to Matt for the 1st time in those 4 plus weeks. And I probably should have said "thrilled" because it was just so great to know that he's doing that much better!

But as great as that news is, Matt still has a road ahead of him, which is where we all come in. I know that Matt and his family aren't even thinking about finances, bills, etc . . . right now. All they're concentrating on is Matt getting better each day so he can get back to the things that he loves doing.

Again, this is exactly the reason for this campaign - let's all help Matt and his family to continue to focus on Matt and his road to recovery by donating whatever each of us can afford, no matter the amount. This way, Matt and his family, can use the money for whatever they need to during this time.

In closing, I mentioned that I just spoke to Matt for the first time during this ordeal, he asked me to let everyone know that he's thankful for everyone's thoughts and prayers during this time, and that he can't wait to see everyone in the very near future.
