Help and support for Pastor Mike Veach!

On July 16, 2024, our beloved Pastor Mike Veach of First Bible Church of Staten Island was in a horrific motorcycle accident in San Antonio, Texas. His foot was severed at the scene, and he was airlifted to a military hospital. In the days following, he underwent three surgeries, ultimately resulting in an above-the-knee amputation. He also has a torn rotator cuff and bicep that will also require surgery. Pastor Mike is one of the most selfless men you could ever meet. He will remain in the hospital for the next several weeks while he heals and is still scheduled to undergo additional surgeries.

Pastor Mike has dedicated himself to people across the globe, going to great lengths to help missionaries advance the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in every corner of the world, while also building a strong local church with people who adore and need him. As he faces a long road to recovery, there will be ongoing medical treatments, home modifications, numerous unforeseen expenses, and the substantial cost of a prosthetic limb. The cost of a well-functioning prosthetic limb can range from

$50,000 - $100,000.

Mike Veach has been labeled by many people as a real-life superman because he has an indomitable spirit and takes on seemingly impossible tasks that most wouldn't even try to attempt all to simply serve his Savior. In fact, he and his wife Margaret were supposed to leave next week to visit our missionaries in war-torn, gang-ruled Haiti just to encourage our missionary and bring him much-needed supplies and fellowship.

Since the accident occurred we have been getting countless requests asking "how can we help?". To be honest, Pastor Mike would categorically reject any financial help, but the truth is he has gone to the wall for so many of us and now it is time for us to help him.
