Help and Support Kelly as she battles Cancer again

Donation protected
To family, friends, and anyone willing to take a moment of time to listen:

About a year ago Kelly Caton, my 53 year old sister-in-law, Mother, grandmother, and friend to many, started to have some serious health issues. After consistent doctor’s visits, complaints, procedures, tests, and E.R. trips during this last year the doctors were finally able to diagnose her. Unfortunately, it was news none of us were expecting. She was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is rarely found in early stages and it is a chemo resistant Cancer. With that being, said she has a long road ahead of her to fight the good fight! She recently started a very aggressive chemo regimine that will go on for 12 weeks in hopes to shrink the main tumor. If the tumor has shrunk enough, she will undergo an extensive surgery “The Whipple Procedure” (14 hour surgery) and it will involve removing the head of the pancreas, part of her liver, part of her small intestine, gallbladder which was removed in May 2023, and bile duct. She will be in the hospital for 2 weeks due to the high risk of infection. When recovery has settled, she will be undergoing another 12 weeks of high dose chemo. The medical plan to fight this cancer will take her out of work for more than 9 months this year. All of this was a lot of information, and we appreciate you taking time to listen to her story and road ahead.

To know her is to love her! Kelly is a very fun loving, compassionate person and the one we typically go to for help and she is always there ready to lend a helping hand! She is what we refer to as our Energizer Bunny! This is our time to help her in the fight of her life! She is the giver in our world, so it is our time to ask for your help in making this fight just a little easier for her. Being a 2 year Breast Cancer survivor, chemo is nothing new, but she will be completely losing her hair this time around and she would like to be able to purchase a wig to ease that part, cover the increased costs with co-pays and medical needs.

How can you help join the fight?

Any donation made will make a huge difference for her in easing part of this journey ahead. Taking one piece of the struggle and making it a bit less stressful means so very much.

No need to worry if you’re unable to donate, you taking time to read her story and sharing it will help immensely throughout this tough year ahead.

To those of you who have shared this, generously donated, and/or offered her words of encouragement we are very grateful! Your support fuels the determination for her to continue fighting!
