Help Ander Overcome Cerebral Palsy

We humbly ask for your support to help Ander access critical stem cell treatment and intensive physical therapy abroad—his best and only chance to improve his mobility, reduce his pain, and gain the independence every child deserves.

Ander was born at week 28, weighed 1.6 pounds, and measured 1.14 feet. He stayed at the hospital for four months, where he experienced multiple difficulties: he got two bacteria, also suffered broncho-lung dysplasia, and needed tracheal intubation for about a month. The best two words to describe Anders are: brave and a miracle.

When he was 9 months old, doctors diagnosed him with Cerebral Palsy, specifically the highest level, spastic quadriplegia. So, we realized why Ander couldn’t sit, crawl, or keep his head aligned like other kids. Since then, we started looking for the best therapies to help Ander get the best quality of life.

Guided by therapists from the USA, Spain, Mexico, and Colombia, we designed a plan that included steam cells, occupational, physical, visual, and language therapy. After the stem cell treatment combined with intensive language and deglutition therapy, Ander started saying words (water, mom, daddy, and 18 more). We were told that Ander couldn’t speak because of the level of brain damage, and he did.

Ander surprises the physicians with all his progress. However, we need your help to continue with our therapy plan and allow Ander to achieve the highest level of psychomotor and cognitive development.
