Help Andra get to Colombia for the PanAm games in water polo
Donation protected
On March 14, my daughter, Andra Wilson, was selected to be one of fourteen athletes representing Canada at the Pan American Games (May 17-26/25) in Medellin, Colombia with Water Polo Canada’s Youth (17U) Women's National Team.
This incredible honour comes after five years of hard work and tremendous commitment - Andra trains an average of 15 hours per week while maintaining her Silver Honour Roll status at school and working as a lifeguard two mornings a week.
Andra has always loved the water - pre-competitive swimming, artistic swimming, diving and power swim. However, in Summer 2019, after a "bring a friend" tryout in water polo, she knew there was no looking back! Since her first competitive tournament in January 2020, Andra has dedicated herself to achieving her goal of a place on the National team.
Andra (#5) represented Team Ontario at two National Provincial Championships and was the winner of the Most Valuable Defensive Player, 2023. With Capital Wave, Andra (#4) has helped her team win gold at the 2023 15U Eastern Championships, place fourth at the 2024 17U National Championships, win Silver at the Beast of the East 2024 and secure a spot at the 2025 Senior Women's (19+) National Championships.
The financial commitment for water polo is already huge and it will cost an additional $9000 to get Andra to Colombia. Any help you can provide for Andra on her journey to Colombia is very much appreciated!
