Help Andre Rebuild After the Eaton Canyon Fires

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of Andre, a 51-year-old father, survivor, and lifelong resident of the Pasadena/Altadena community, who has recently endured unimaginable loss.

Andre tragically lost his property in the Eaton Canyon Fires that devastated Altadena. A place filled with cherished memories and hard work, is now gone, leaving him hoping to rebuild. In addition to losing his property, Andre also lost his son’s mother on 12/23/24 to a preexisting health condition.

This heartbreaking loss comes on top of an already challenging life. Andre is a gunshot survivor—he endured a traumatic injury to the head that has left him permanently disabled (he has lost sight in his left eye). He battles daily with neurological issues and PTSD, yet he remains a fighter, a devoted father to his five children, including one minor child.

The pain of these losses is compounded by the recent passing of his eldest son, leaving Andre and his family grappling with grief and hardship on multiple fronts.

We are seeking to raise $75,000 to help Andre get back on his feet. These funds will be used to:

Secure stable housing for Andre and his family.

Replace essential belongings and vehicles lost in the fire.

Provide mental health support and resources to help him cope with the trauma.

Assist with daily living expenses and transportation needs as he rebuilds his life.

Andre has always been a pillar in the Pasadena/Altadena community. Now, he needs us. Together, we can help him rebuild his life, provide stability for his children, and remind him that he is not alone in this journey.
