Help Andrea Get the Care She Needs

On Friday, December 13th, our dear friend Andrea was in a devastating car accident while visiting her parents in Mexico City. Andrea, her husband Jonathan, and her parents were all in the car when it was T-boned. Tragically, Andrea suffered severe injuries, including:

• A punctured lung

• Eight broken ribs

• A broken cheekbone

• Memory loss

• Other significant injuries

Andrea is currently receiving care at a hospital in Mexico City, but she urgently needs to return to the U.S. to continue her treatment. After some research, we’ve learned that a care flight to bring Andrea back to the United States will cost approximately $20,000—and her insurance will not cover this expense being international (not including the costly care that is already accruing).

We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers to help cover the cost of transporting Andrea home, her medical bills in Mexico, and her continued care in the U.S.

El pasado viernes 13 de diciembre, nuestra querida amiga Andrea sufrió un terrible accidente automovilístico mientras visitaba a sus papás en la Ciudad de México. Andrea, su esposo Jonathan y sus papás iban en el coche cuando fueron impactados de lado. Desafortunadamente, Andrea sufrió heridas muy graves, incluyendo:

• Un pulmón perforado

• Ocho costillas rotas

• Una fractura en el pómulo

• Pérdida de memoria

• Otras lesiones significativas

En este momento, Andrea está recibiendo atención médica en un hospital de la Ciudad de México, pero necesita regresar a Estados Unidos lo más pronto posible para continuar su tratamiento. Después de investigar, nos enteramos de que un vuelo médico para trasladar a Andrea de regreso a Estados Unidos costará aproximadamente $20,000 dólares, y su seguro no cubrirá este gasto o los gastos médicos internacionales.

Por eso, estamos pidiendo el apoyo de amigos, familiares y personas de buen corazón para ayudar a cubrir los costos de su tratamiento aquí en México, así como su traslado a Estados Unidos y los gastos de su recuperación allá.
