Help Andrea ❤️ (Mt Kilimanjaro Brain Injury)
Donation protected
Andrea (before her severe brain injury) used to be a teacher, social worker, and fierce lawyer/advocate for children.
Today she requires 24/7 care, having lost her sight, hearing and memory when her brain was deprived of oxygen climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, on July 10, 2021. Tragically, Andrea’s hypoxic injury was so severe she developed a rare, devastating condition, delayed post-hypoxic demyelination, that left her cognitively impaired.
After being hospitalized (6 hospitals in 3 countries), she is now in a brain injury day program at NYU Rusk, working hard for her recovery. Andrea has no long-term health care and is on disability, which doesn't begin to cover her monthly expenses (rent alone is a hardship).
Please consider a donation that is meaningful to you.
We, of course, believe in miracles and continue to pray that Andrea's sight and hearing will return, along with their cognitive abilities. Please continue to pray that Andrea will be able to live without 24/7 care one day. She is working so hard for her recovery each and every day.
Thank you for donating!
Sending ❤️ and appreciation from our family and Andrea!
P.S. Please contact Andrea's sister and legal guardian, Jessica, if you have any questions about supporting Andrea's Special Needs Trust.
