Andrew was diagnosed with sarcoma bone cancer on 10-18-2022 after breaking his Left femur on 09-20-2022. It took about a month to get the results of the type of cancer from the biopsy. He struggled with a broken femur and chemo treatments to shrink the tumor until January 26, 2023. He had 16-hour, what they called a perfect surgery, with no complications to amputate the femur and flip his lower leg to take the place of the femur taken out and tie his ankle into his hip (Tybia/Fibula Turnup). He was well on his way to recovery with no evidence of cancer anywhere in his body. He started hurting more in his right hip and leg the beginning of May after starting chemo treatments again. Evidently, they weren't treating the right cancer. May 23rd he was in severe pain and med flighted back to the hospital. We found out cancer had spread to his hips, spine, right leg and left leg. We ended up at Envita in Scottsdale, AZ to get specialized treatment. Insurance does not cover a lot of what they do because it is not in the Government controlled protocol but everything they do is FDA approved. They find out exactly what the underlying issue is and address that issue and give cancer treatment in a more effective way. Please help us with the extra cost of his strong, personlized, lifesaving, potentially curing treatments for his specific mutation.
Thank You!
