Help Andris Rebuild His Life After Devastating Fire

Dear friends, family, and members of the Seattle Latvian community:

Our long-time community member and church organist, Dr. Andris Āboliņš, recently experienced a heartbreaking catastrophe as a fire at his home destroyed everything he owned. Andris escaped without injury, but gone forever are all of his personal belongings and cherished family heirlooms going back decades — leaving him with nothing but the clothes on his back. Thankfully, Andris is safe, but the emotional and financial toll is unimaginable.

Over many decades, Andris has been there for the Seattle Latvian community. He has shared his musical talent with all of us, playing the organ at countless church services and community events. He has been there consistently to support us. He celebrated with us during joyous times and mourned with us during sad times.

As a church community, we are coming together to support Andris during this incredibly difficult time. While we cannot replace the sentimental value of his lost items, we can help restore hope and provide for basic needs as he begins to rebuild his life from scratch. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in helping Andris get back on his feet.
