Help Andy Herold Fight Back to Health
Donation protected
Hey Everyone,
I am coming to you today on behalf of the Herold Family. Chances are you have seen them at different events or know them from the community as Amanda attended PHS, and grew up in Bennet, their son Connor graduated in 2021 as well, and their other son Bryson is starting 6th grade this fall.
On June 21st, Andy had a terrible heart attack at the early age of 40. He was immediately admitted to NHI. The family quickly learned the worst news possible. Andy was not expected to survive. He was in the ICU for one week on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma. Thankfully, he is now off the ventilator, awake, and has since transferred to Madonna for intense ongoing rehab. There he is receiving physical, occupation, and speech therapy. The therapists there reported that his body has unfortunately been through so much that now his body needs time to reset itself.
Once he goes home, he will require ongoing outpatient physical therapies and cardiac rehab. He still has an artery that is blocked as they were unable to get to it while at NHI. At some point he will need to undergo heart surgery of some sort when they feel he is capable.
I grew up with Amanda in Bennet, this family is not the type of family to want to ask for assistance but would do anything for others. I am here today asking for our great communities to surround this family with love, strength, support, and prayer. Andy was the main financial supporter of his family. He has a long journey ahead until he is fully recovered and can get back to work. I ask of you now if you can find it in your hearts to donate to this family, please do. I assure you it will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Kate Keifer

Hey all,
From my conversation with Amanda the other day, it seems as Andy is doing well. He continues to do therapies. They were able to get rid of the bed and chair alarms, and she mentioned it seems his cognition is improving as well. All great things!! Pray that some upcoming appointments continue to provide answers and lead him in the right direction.
From Amanda- Thank you so much all the love, support and prayers. We so appreciate everything!
