Help Andy Orem Truck Past Myasthenia Gravis

Hello, My name is Mark Hilligoss, president of Royal Charge Trucking, and I am creating this fundraiser to support one of the local drivers contracted to Bayer Crop Science plant out of Windfall, Indiana who received a life-changing diagnosis at Christmas time. He was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Andy Orem is one of the senior drivers that haul with us annually and has been doing it for 21 years. While we drive for our individual companies, we work as a family on the team. Andy has become Papa to many of us who have come on the team in later years and appreciate his guidance and prayers for each of us as we make our daily runs. Dealers and growers alike all make mention of the great relationship Andy has created through the years and are eager to help in any way they can. That started my thought of how can we create an avenue that would allow all to help as they feel so moved.

It was during these trips in early December that some of us realized Andy was having trouble talking, at times we thought we had lost connection. After diagnosis, and several episodes later, I had a conversation with Andy that spurred me on to create this forum. I called to check on him earlier this week and was dumbfounded to be informed that Andy was back in ICU fighting pneumonia and struggling to breathe. If his exhale numbers got any lower he would have to go on a vent!

Spurring me to action because this man would do anything he could for any of us!

Andy has told me that before this all came down, he would start each day by praying for each one of us drivers before getting into the truck. That is the greatest gift he could give any one of us.

I don't think much more needs said regarding why this is so important to me and the rest of the team!

The thoughts contributed, along with any contributions received, will be used to bring a healing environment for Andy, and his wife Brenda. It is the goal to cover medical expenses and daily living expenses so they can focus on getting Andy back in his truck again. There is not any health insurance in the picture to help cover since the cost does not allow in the household income.
