Life After Jay
Donation protected
I'm humbly asking my friends, fellow men and women to help support my friend of 25 years, Angela and her sons, Tommy and JJ, who are now without a husband and father. Jay and Angela met when she was in high school at the age of 16, and have been together through thick and thin until he died of liver disease on November 19, 2020.
They had just moved two weeks ago to North Carolina to start a new chapter in their lives. This included saving enough money to make the move, but leaving most of their furniture, belongings, jobs, friends and family behind in New York. Like most of us, they struggled with the ups and downs of this world, but had made a resolution to make a better life for their younger son, while their older son decided to try to make it in NY and set out on his own for the first time. They knew that Jay was sick, but hoped that the new environment would help him live more comfortably for his remaining years on this earth. All these hopes, well thought dreams and plans for the future are now in peril.
Angela has worked hard her whole life and quickly secured a position as a hair stylist in Huntersville, NC at SuperCuts. Tommy, vowing to help his mom and dad, just got a position at a local grocery store within walking distance. This was their first week of work, after arriving only two weeks ago to their new apartment. They were excited that all of their worries seemed to be falling to the wayside, except one....Jay's ever declining health. Jay refused to seek care, because he didn't want to have medical bills to burden his family (he had a waiting period to get new insurance in NC) and of course, didn't think he was going to pass (age 50) so soon.
Angela is one of the few people in our world who would give you the shirt off her back in a snowstorm and worry about it later. She never wanted anything in life other than be a good wife, mother, sister and friend. She needs our help now to settle in to NC, to provide for her son, to continue to smile and be a light in the world. Can you help her and Tommy with any donation? If not, would you please share this on your social media page?
