Help Angela in her Fight Against Lymphoma

Fundraising Goal & Purpose
My name is Lynn Osler and I am raising money for my dear friend, Angela, who is currently in the hospital in Vancouver, BC, fighting her battle against cancer.

My goal is to raise at least $12,000 that will go towards Angela and her mother to help with any added expenses they come across during this challenging time. We'll also be donating a portion of the money to the BC Cancer Foundation.

Angela's Cancer Story
Angela began feeling unwell over the summer of 2024. Her first symptom was a sore upper shoulder/back that just didn't seem to go away. Then she came down with a sinus infection, which then turned into Pneumonia. After antibiotics didn't seem to work, a CT scan discovered a large mass in her right lung which was found to be pressing against all of her major airways, which gave her SVC syndrome. A biopsy revealed she has high-grade B cell lymphoma, which is an aggressive kind, but lucky with a good prognosis with treatment. Treatment will be around 6 months. She is now undergoing chemotherapy at Vancouver General Hospital.

A bit About Angela
Angela's the type of girl that will light up a room with her laughter. She has a huge heart and is a momma to two adorable dogs, Jimmy and Russel. We met during the first week of university and have been close friends ever since. She's a kind soul that's always smiling and positive. She loves to travel, read, explore new restaurants, and spend time in nature with her dogs.

BC Cancer Foundation - Who They Are
A portion of your donation will go towards supporting the BC Cancer Foundation which raises funds for BC Cancer to support world-leading scientists and clinicians across the province — as they advance global innovation and accelerate access for all British Columbians to cutting-edge cancer care, close to home. They are currently fundraising $500 million in the most ambitious and comprehensive health campaign ever in B.C called the Beyond Belief campaign.

Why your Donation will Have an Impact
Angela does not have work benefits (ie. medical, dental, short/long term disability leave) so medical expenses will not be covered while she is fighting lymphoma. Additionally, she will not be able to work while undergoing chemotherapy. With extra expenses and not being able to earn an income, your donation will aid in reducing the added expenses for Angela and her family and help bring Angela back to a healthy recovery.

If you're in a position to be able to donate, no amount is too small. Even small donations will add up to have a huge impact and are greatly appreciated. If you're unable to donate at this time, your positive thoughts are appreciated and feel free to share this link as well to help raise as much as we can for Angela and the BC Cancer Foundation.
