Angela Johnson's world turned upside down after the devastating loss of her husband, Mike, who took his own life on December 23rd, 2023. For the past six years, Angela has been a dedicated stay-at-home mom to her two lovely daughters, Devyn (10) and Bailee (8). Mike's unemployment during the Covid-19 crisis left the family in a precarious financial situation, one from which they never fully recovered.

Now, Angela faces the daunting challenge of shouldering the family's financial burdens alone, including the mortgage, HELOC, and other essential bills, with only $2,100 a month from government assistance. This amount barely covers the basic needs, leaving little for joy or even necessities like electricity and running water.

Despite her relentless job search, Angela has not been able to secure employment, plunging her into deep despair. The strain is palpable; her daughter Devyn, at just 10 years old, expressed feelings of hopelessness, echoing the grim reality of their current life - no outings, no celebrations, just the fear of losing even more.
