Help Angela Join the United Nations Internship Program

Hi everyone,

My name is Angela, and I’m a 23-year-old law graduate from Maastricht University. Throughout my life, I’ve had the privilege of living in 7 different countries, each experience shaping me in ways I never imagined. I’ve been inspired by so many incredible people along the way, whose stories and resilience continue to motivate me every day.

I currently work as a part-time contractor and freelancer in intellectual property, but I’ve recently been given an opportunity that feels like a dream come true: I’ve been accepted into a prestigious United Nations internship program at the UN Library & Archives in Geneva!

This is not just any internship—it’s a chance to dive deeper into my passion for geopolitics, international law, and academia. For years, I’ve been working toward this, fueled by a genuine desire to contribute to global solutions. I’ve also had the honor of serving as a delegate in the UN Model United Nations (MUN), which opened my eyes to the incredible power of diplomacy and international cooperation.

While this internship is a dream come true, it also comes with its challenges. It’s unpaid, and the cost of living in Geneva is high. As much as I want to leap into this incredible opportunity, the financial burden is something I can’t fully shoulder on my own. I’m willing to give everything I have to make this work—whether it means stretching my savings or adjusting my plans—but I realize that a bit of extra help will make all the difference.

This internship isn’t just a professional step forward; it’s a deeply personal commitment to my future, and to the values I hold dear. It’s about giving back to the global community that has shaped me and taking on a challenge I’m more than ready for.
