Help Angela Kick Cancer's A$$

Hi Friends,

For those of you who know Angela, you know she is quite the force—witty, lively, strong-willed, isn't easily persuaded and never, ever backs down.

When she was diagnosed with cancer during the pandemic she didn't sit around and let it consume her life, instead she worked harder than ever, opening and running a restaurant while going through multiple surgeries and follow up care.

Over the last three years she has assembled the best cancer team in Los Angeles to help her on this journey. To date she has had four surgeries for three high grade malignant Phyllodes tumors mixed with elements of soft tissue sarcoma removed from multiple locations. Unfortunately, her cancer has continued to evolve and adapt. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic disease as the cancer has spread to her blood and into her lungs where she has four new rapidly growing tumors.

Phyllodes tumors account for only 1% of all breast cancers and approximately 25% of them are malignant. Her tumors are also combined with elements of various types of soft tissue sarcomas that are equally rare and problematic. In true Angela form, there is no easy way.

After months of intense research, gathering as much known data as possible to understand all available treatment options, we expanded our search to Houston to meet with the experts at both MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Burzynski Clinic.

To date, none of the oncologists we have visited have seen her exact type of cancer before. Regardless, the path forward became clear while we were in Houston—a combination of traditional treatment options and more cutting edge alternative therapies. But it's going to be complicated and expensive.

We have been friends for over 30 years. As I am leaving her in Houston to be prepped for treatments, I am setting up this GoFundMe to ask for your support. ANYTHING you can contribute to Ange is greatly appreciated. Your generosity will help her pay for medical expenses, travel expenses, supportive therapies and other mounting costs.
