Angela was hit by a TRUCK!

On 25 May 2021, Angela was hit by a truck in Broadbeach. It is unclear whether the truck driver remained at the scene.

Angela has a 3-month old baby boy, and was riding home to be with him and her partner, Harley after completing her job as a domestic cleaner.



Since then, Angela has been fighting for her life in Intensive Care at the Gold Coast University Hospital. She has sustained devastating injuries to her head, pelvis and abdominal organs.

Angela’s partner Harley is currently taking care of their newborn son. However, the couple relied on Angela’s wage as the sole income that covered all household and newborn expenses.

Angela is in Australia on a student Visa and has no support aside from her husband and newborn son. Her family reside in Serbia and cannot be with her or her family throughout this challenging time. 

Angela was studying child care here in Australia. She is a great worker and does not have a selfish bone in her body. She is dedicated to improving her life and returned to work when her little boy was only 3-weeks old.

  

At this stage it is very hard to say what ongoing medical expenses the family will incur as she remains in a critical condition in Intensive Care.

This is a family in dire need of community support at this point in time. She has a 3-month old baby that cannot be with his Mum at all. We know that Angela is someone that would give of herself to help another in need, I hope that our community can support her through this injustice that she has incurred. It is also crucial to support her partner, Harley, who is currently taking care of the newborn son. 

Upcoming expenses:

- securing a Permanent Visa for Angela so she can stay with her 3 month old son and Partner in Australia for recovery

- Living expenses (rent, food, public transport fees)

- Angela's ongoing medical expenses and recovery costs

- Angela's legal costs

2. I have organised this fundraiser for Angela as a friend. The sole beneficiary of this fundraiser is Angela herself once she recovers and has the ability to manage it. 
3. The donations shall cover medical expenses such as rehabilitation, rental fees, and partner visa application fee. 
4. My plan is to deliver the fundraiser's donations to Angela via a bank transfer to her nominated bank account over time.
