Help Angie and Friends with Essential Home Repairs
Donation protected
My name is Kelly. I adopted my daughter, Angie, when she was 21 months old. She was taken into the foster care system at three months for abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Her bio mom stopped using drugs
after the first trimester but continued to drink daily. Angie has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. FAS as a child is difficult to manage, but as an adult, it is almost impossible. I found The Aloha House by a miracle, the only FASD group home in the USA. She lives there with three other young women with FASD. This home has saved our family. For the first time in years, I know my daughter is safe and with people who know how to manage this terrible syndrome. The Aloha House is nothing short of a miracle, but the resident funding does not cover any home maintenance. It can only be used for care, supervision, and food. The home is in desperate need of new carpeting and new windows (the winters are extremely harsh). I am starting this GoFundMe to help raise funds for these repairs. These girls are not able to live on their own and are not able to live at home. They are very susceptible to the dangers we all fear when not supervised 24/7. My daughter and these young women did nothing to cause this, but they are left to live with the horrible decisions made by others. Donations to be made to FASD Communities. Whatever donations you can make would be extremely appreciated. Thank you.
