Help Angie McHugh Kettell Fight Cancer

Everyone who knows Angie is aware that she is an avid runner getting up every morning to run ten miles before starting her day! Many would see her running along the canal path in Fairport and always had a smile and hello for everyone. She has ran in many local and ultra trail race events. Not only was she active in running but she has always been health conscious with her diet and lifestyle.
Angie has been a single mother of three, supporting her children while working in the Human Resource field. She has been active with her kids school, their activities and always volunteering to help or chair events. Angie has been a great friend to many always willing to help out others especially in their time of need.
On March 6, 2024 Angie McHugh Kettell went to her family physician complaining of a harsh cough and extreme fatigue. After having bloodwork and a chest X-ray they found a large amount of fluid in her right lung. She was admitted to Strong hospital where the fluid was removed and further testing showed a large mass in the two lower lobes of her right lung, a spot on her brain and two tumors on her back. Angie has spent the past month in and out of several hospitals enduring multiple procedures and tests to determine what type of cancer she has since the biopsies weren’t showing a “typical” cell cancer. The cancer has since been diagnosed as Melanoma.
Angie has been unable to work and recently was placed on disability. The oncologist has told her the treatment for her type of cancer could take up to two years to complete.
Any donations to help defray Angie’s medical expenses will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
