Help Angie's Recovery

My name is Neal Culbreth and my wife (Angie) of 32 years and mother of our two daughters recently had both legs amputated, above the knee.  I am starting this GoFundMe page to assist with medical, home and travel expenses and to give her the opportunity to get back to as close to a normal life as possible.

This all started with an embolism in the right leg in July 2023 and then less than 2 months later issues developed with her left leg.  The right leg amputation was originally done below the knee but became infected due to a previous knee replacement surgery, many years ago. Upon the doctors discovering this infection it was determined that the amputation would have to be revised to above the knee.  This revision essentially saved her life due to the serious infection that was raging through her body. 

She had a previous knee replacement surgery on the left side as well and when issues developed with the left leg the doctors advised that it was best to go above the knee with the amputation on the left leg.

We hope to be moving her to a rehabilitation hospital in Tallahassee soon so that she can begin her rehab and we can become accustomed to what will be our 'new' normal.
