Help Animals on TV release an album!

Animals on TV has recorded an album. We need your help to release it to the world.

We’re shivering just feeling the gravity of those words. Animals on TV has recorded our first album. On top of that, it’s good-- really good.

We want to thank you, our fans, friends, and family, who have encouraged us to go this far. We've been having a lot of fun becoming the best band in the world. It thrills us that so many of you are also enjoying our shows and music with us.

Animals on TV was formed to create a live show that was energetic and people could have a great time at and to record music that stands the test of time. We want to be the band you get to tell your kids that you were there, and a true fan, when it formed. In other words, we’re trying to make some classic sh*t.

With our new album, we think we have.

We've recorded 14 songs about Matthew McConaughey, ponzi schemes, Jesus in high school in the 1980s, the future of humanity, and the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy. This ain’t no walk in the park. Gabe shreds, Andrew strums, Rob bleats, Alex grooves, and Ben beats on the drums like never before in this new work of art.

But don’t take our word for it! Listen to what our recording engineer, Matt Gerhard, has to say about the album…

“Yeah, it’s pretty good.” - Matt Gerhard

How’s that for an endorsement?

Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for… WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Specifically, we need your money. (No, don’t run!) We need your contribution to this GoFundMe.

We want to do the best we possibly can for the music and for you by promoting this music to the best of our capability, recording in the best way we can, and releasing it with more fanfare than you could shake a drumstick at.

We’re looking to raise $33,000 total for the album. (We set our goal a little lower for the GoFundMe to cover our bases).

Here’s how that breaks down…

Recording, Mixing, and Mastering: $8,000

PR for the album: $15,000

Music videos: $6,000

Release shows for the album: $4,000

Notice how the biggest budget here is for PR. We want everyone who supports Animals on TV to feel like they’re a part of something. It is not enough for us to just put out a great album that no one hears. This is independent music. *wink* *wink* We know you do it for the cultural clout. You should all get the privilege of saying we were a part of making a really great album get its wings. Awaken the hipster impulse within and get in on this album with us.

Why this album?

It's like nothing you've ever seen. We're going to drop 14 songs in four EPs (we're referring to them as "Episodes," ) with 3-4 songs on each. Each episode will be dropped a month apart and will feature a release show with a theme matching the episode of its release. The first show will be at the Parish on December 8th and will be villain themed.

Here is the full list of releases, with show dates pending:

Se 01 Ep 01 - Our Very First Pyramid Scheme :: Villain theme, December 8th release & show.
Se 01 Ep 02 - Jesus in High School :: 80’s High school theme, ~Jan 2023 release
Se 01 Ep 03 - The Ice Cream Parlor of Our Love :: Valentine's theme, ~Feb 2023 release
Se 01 Ep 04 - AOTV’s Spring Break :: MTV Y2K Spring Break theme, ~Mar 2023 release

We hope it sounds fun because we’re really excited about it. Some releases will also feature a music video, so it’ll be four contiguous months of new Animals on TV to sink your eyes, ears, and hips into.

Please, as you’re able, help us make this all happen by donating to this GoFundMe. Thank you for supporting us this far and for all you can contribute to bringing this album to life. We love making music and playing live. You’re making our dreams come true.

With gratitude,
Rob, Andrew, Gabe, Ben, and Alex
