Help my 75-year-young friend Ann to Fly

Hi, my name is Tania Rose and I am fundraising for a very inspiring 75-year-young pilot friend Ann Rothwell.

I met Ann 17 years ago when I joined my local flight club in San Diego, CA.  She did not fly for 4 years due to cancer.  I am very inspired by her because she started flying again around February 2021 with her flight instructor to gain her skills and confidence back.  Ann works full time for $15/hour at the Scripps Torrey Pines hospital as a lobby hostess greeter to afford her weekly airplane rental and Flight instructor which costs around $150/hour ($600 a month). She is not married and lives on her own. Ann inspires me because of her dedication and enthusiasm for aviation.  It is not common to see an older female pilot.  Ann volunteers once a week giving directions for travelers at the San Diego International Airport.  She also volunteers as the secretary for the Aviation Safety Seminar Zoom meetings in my area and was given the 2018 volunteer of the year award as a lead rep for the FAA safety team.  I am very impressed with Ann.  She is always supportive and helpful and a great role model for us.  She is showing people that we can Fly regardless of age, gender or challenging financial circumstances.  We can accomplish our dreams.  This picture shows Ann doing a very diligent preflight of the airplane checking the fuel.
