Help Ann Marie and Her Students
Donation protected
This is our friend Ann Marie (Arsenau) Pierce with some of her students. Ann Marie is a WMU alumna and special ed teacher in North Carolina. She and her husband Dylan (Kalamazoo College '16) recently started a photo/video business. They donate half of what they earn from this work to support the Williston Trailblazers, a team of special ed cross-country athletes that Ann Marie started at the high-poverty middle school where she teaches.
On 6/16, on the West side of Kalamazoo, Ann Marie and Dylan had $8,000 worth of photographic gear stolen from inside their locked car, along with photo files from a friend's wedding they had just filmed. While they are mainly grieving the loss of the photos, this is a major financial blow for these young people. I am hoping that those of us who are more financially secure can raise some of the funds needed to replace their camera and get them back in business. Please contact me privately with any questions.
