Help Anna’s Road to Recovery

Donation protected
What started out as a fun, filled, family day swimming with the pigs and taking a boat cruise, turned into a nightmare for Anna and her family. While on a family vacation to Exuma, Bahamas, Anna suffered a unexpected brain bleed and is now requiring severe medical intervention.

Because Anna was out of the country at the time this happened, it was difficult to get her the adequate help she needed at the time. However, our God is a good God and he has protected Anna and found a path to get her the help she so desperately needed.

Anna was able to be airlifted from Exuma to Nassau and then from Nassau to Fort Lauderdale where she stayed in the Neuro ICU for several days. While there, the team of medical doctors had her intubated and sedated to allow her body to rest and for them to be able to perform additional scans. One of those scans was an angiogram and CT scan. While Anna is not out of the woods just yet, the doctors were able to fix the aneurysm and they are hopeful that Anna will not require any surgical intervention.

Anna has now been transferred to the Neuro ICU at the University of Miami hospital. Her team of doctors feel that the transfer will be the best avenue for Anna in case surgery will be required at a later date. Currently Anna is stable but still vented.

For those that know Anna, they know that she is one of the strongest, toughest and most competitive people out there. So we all know that Anna is not going to let anything beat her! While we have faith in God that Anna will be healed and back home soon, her and her family are facing a long road to recovery.

Anna is expected to be in the hospital for at least a couple of weeks- a month and is likely facing several months of therapy after. Anna’s husband - Dane- and family have not left her side since the incident. They are navigating taking care of her two beautiful girls in another state while fighting to keep Anna alive. Anna is continuing to fight for her life each day and we are optimistic she can beat the odds by surrounding her with the right specialists and methods of therapy. While the road will be long, we are committed to bringing Anna home to her two daughters and husband.

This GoFundMe campaign was started to provide a way for family and friends to help Anna and Dane secure the highest level of care and to allow Anna’s family to be by her side in Miami. Anna and her family are likely facing severe medical costs from air flighting her from Exuma to Nassau and then from Nassau to the states. In addition to what insurance can cover, the family expects significant outside costs related to flying back and forth to be with her, hotel stays, child care for her girls, and any therapy costs that will be associated with her care once she returns home. These funds will help Anna’s long-term recovery and quality of life as a mother, wife, daughter and friend. Any funds that remain unused will be donated to similar families in need or related charities.

We appreciate you sharing this story with friends, families, and communities willing to help get Anna home.

With love,

Spenser and Ryan Moore (Anna’s sister and brother in law)
