Support Kevin's Family After His Passing

Donation protected
On February 7th, Kevin Smith passed away due to injuries from a motorcycle accident. Please read his story and consider supporting the upcoming costs including his celebration of life and providing ongoing support for his wife, Anne.

Kevin and Anne were the best example of what true partnership and love should be like. They made each other laugh, went on adventures together, and clearly adored and gravitated around each other. Their presence always, without fail, brought a smile to each other's faces. This loss for Anne is unexpected, heartbreaking, and absolutely devastating.

Kevin's love for Anne and commitment to her well-being was especially evident as she faced years of undiagnosed neurological symptoms, with escalating severity that included temporary paralysis, limb weakness, and concussions. During this time, Kevin not only cared for Anne as she slowly lost the ability to participate in life activities including driving, grocery shopping, running errands, cooking, and cleaning, but he also fought hard to get answers for her symptoms and advocate for her medical treatment.

In May 2024, primarily due to Kevin's support in advocating for her care, Anne was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder (FND). FND is a disorder of the signaling between the brain and nervous system, and is debilitating in almost every aspect of her life. Kevin was Anne's constant advocate, support system, and caregiver in the months leading up to her diagnosis. He was committed to her care and worked incredibly hard to ensure that she had the treatment she needed. Due to Anne's FND symptoms, she has been unable to work. In addition to caring for her emotionally, Kevin was also the primary financial provider for their family. His loss leaves Anne in a place where she is unsure how she will be able to continue to pay daily costs of living and support her medical treatment.

Kevin was a kind, big-hearted, giving human in every aspect of his life and beyond. His final gift in life was to save the lives of others through organ donation.

Donations will help support Kevin's celebration of life costs, Anne's continued medical treatment, and with rebuilding her life.
