Please Help us Provide Justice for a Bunny Rescuer

My name is Jay Blackstone. I’m putting together this GoFundMe in support of my good friend, Annie Monod.

These funds will help pay for the lawyer’s retainer fee.

Why does she need a lawyer? Because she has been falsely accused of animal abuse by the BCSPCA.

Those who know and love Annie (pretty much everyone who knows her loves her—you will never find a bigger, kinder heart) know that of all the people in the world, she is the last to cause any animal harm. I’ve never known of anyone who works harder for all animals. Finding her away from the sanctuary, even for a quick lunch, is an extremely rare occurrence.

Annie started Warren Peace Bunny Sanctuary in 2005. Ever since then, she has taken in the bunnies that no one else would house. They got spayed and neutered, received veterinary care when needed, and when the Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease became an issue, every single bunny was vet checked and vaccinated with the expensive vaccine. This became a yearly event.

I know Annie, and the sanctuary, well because I’ve been volunteering there, at least once a week, for the past 7 years. Sometimes my 2 children come along, and we clean, feed, build facilities, and generally help with maintenance and care.

I would dearly love to go into detail about what transpired but on the advice of the lawyer, I cannot.

If you love animals and love the people who dedicate their lives to rescuing them and giving them a safe home; not only thinking about their physical lives, but of their emotional lives as well (including social groups and other friendships), and mostly, if you believe in justice, please consider donating to this fund.
