Help Anniston's Recovery at Shriner's Hospital

On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, 7-year-old Anniston Kate, "Nannie" to those of us who know and love her, was home from school due to the severe winter weather conditions. Anniston saw a fire in her driveway and went to see what happened. The ice and bad weather had caused a tree limb to down a power line. Nannie grabbed the live power line not realizing what it was. She was electrocuted and when she screamed her 10-year-old brother, Connor, ran to her and grabbed her hand. He was immediately electrocuted too and the burst of electricity knocked him backward but he never let go of Nannie's hand. Thankfully he pulled her off the live wire when he fell, saving her life. He is our HERO and the reason that Nannie is alive with us today. Connor suffered 2nd degree burns to his thumb but was later released from the hospital.
Nannie was transferred 4 hours from home to Shriner's Hospital in Galveston with more extensive injuries. She is in the best hospital in the world receiving the best care possible but she has a long long road to recovery. Nannie is a true miracle as the electricity left her body out of her feet, hands, hips, wrists, shoulders, and head..... but by the Grace of God, it never touched her heart or lungs. It should be impossible for her to be with us today but we are thankful that she is alive and will recover in time. Nannie will need to be at Shriner's Hospital for several weeks and require multiple surgies for her recovery.
This Go Fund Me was created to help Josh and Heidi, Nannie's parents raise money to help cover her mounting medical expenses, lodging and food while they are in Galveston, assistance paying for their expenses at home as neither will be able to work while they stay with her, and gas to travel back and forth to see their other three children who are in the care of relatives.
Josh and Heidi are amazing parents who are involved in all of their children's activities, their church, and their community. They are a loving family and need our prayers for Nannie's complete healing during this time. Please consider donating, even the smallest amount will make a BIG impact in their lives.
