Help Anthony Fight Against Rare Cancer

On Monday, June 3rd, 2024, I heard the words no parent ever wants to hear about their child: "Anthony has Cancer."
Anthony is my brilliant and handsome middle son. He just turned 18 on June 7th and also just graduated from East Meck High School. On June 3, we received a call from the school nurse's office telling us that Anthony was having trouble breathing. We immediately went to pick him up and took him to the urgent care. Hours after being there, the doctor noticed that there was a lump in Anthony's arm and he looked very worried but he couldn't give us a very clear answer of what the lump could mean. They recommended we go to the ER so we could do more tests, such as the CT Scan. Later that day, Dr was able to confirm that it is stage 4 cancer and that two more lumps are growing on his back. They informed us that we would have to travel to Memphis, Tennessee to do the biopsy and find out exactly what type of sarcoma cancer he has and where it came from.

We found out that less than 2% of all cancers are sarcomas and there are more than 80 types of sarcomas.
**CURRENTLY IN MEMPHIS, WE WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED**
If you ask anyone, Anthony is the kindest, most loving and helpful person. He puts everyone before himself, and we are devastated that the purest, kindest person was given this horrible diagnosis. To give you a little background on who Anthony is, he is an amazing brother to his four siblings, he is a kind and loving son, he is an uncle to his two nieces and two nephews, he is a loving and understanding friend. He is looking forward to attend College and we want to do everything we can to help him achieve that dream and also help him envision a brighter future.

Over the past few weeks, many people have asked what they can do for Anthony? Since we don't know what will happen, we still don't know what Anthony will need. Currently, we are waiting for the scans and biopsy and hoping for good news. Anthony is very grateful for everyone who has reached out. We appreciate you and know he is on your mind. And for that we are grateful.

It was only by the Grace of God St. Jude's is covering all of his medical expenses as Anthony was admitted three days before his 18th birthday. I have not left my son's side since he was diagnosed. My paycheck was 50% of the household income. My husband also works full time but we still trying to make meet ends to cover all of the monthly bills. No parent should have to worry about finances during such a difficult time. We have never asked for help in this way before, but this is a moment when we desperately need the support of our community and help ease the financial burden on our family. Every dollar will go towards our family's monthly expenses so we can focus on what matters most: Anthony's health and recovery.

There is no way to determine how long this situation will last. We need as much support as we can get. Your generosity and prayers are deeply appreciated as we navigate this difficult time. Thank you for standing with Anthony and being a part of his battle to beat Cancer.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support. Every bit of support, whether financial or through sharing this page, will be deeply appreciated.
"Anthony, this burden is not yours to carry alone, no matter how strong and positive you are. You are not alone."
