Help Anthony Ribustello in battling RARE Leukemia!
Donation protected
Anthony Ribustello a loving husband, father to his 5 year old daughter, a Detective with the Crime Scene Unit and a 17 year veteran of the NYPD, was diagnosed with a very rare form of leukemia at age 41.
It all started when his tonsil enlarged and we were told it was suspicious for cancer. I watched Anthony decline rapidly. When we met with the doctor, Anthony was in a wheel chair and could not open his right eye. At this appointment, Anthony's bloodwork was life threatening and he was admitted to ICU spending a month in the hospital. Having learned his diagnosis as MPAL Leukemia, he is 1 of 66 with this disease. Anthony spent several weeks at a time away from home receiving chemotherapy treatments to prepare him for a bone marrow transplant. After waiting months for a donor, Anthony underwent a bone marrow transplant with a mismatched donor. This required him to be away from us for 100 days as he was severely immunocompromised. Anthony still requires frequent per week doctor appointments for post-transplant treatment and assessment.
Please help defray the large costs associated with treatment, travel, accommodations prior to, during, and after treatments and with maintaining day to day expenses.
