Help April and Auguste Rebuild After Flood

Hi, my name is Paige and I’ve started this fundraiser on behalf of my sister April and her husband Auguste.

On January 26th, Guipry-Messac was hit by a historic flood brought on by two storms, Éowyn and Herminia. In the last 24 hours, April and Auguste’s home on the river has flooded with roughly two meters (6 ft) of water, and the two of them with their cat Padzu had to be rescued by firefighters in a boat. Thankfully, they are safe, but their home is completely flooded with water continuing to rise, and they have no idea what the state of their home will be like when the water comes down.

April and Auguste are incredible people full of so much love and kindness. They worked so hard to find and make this home, and April has spent the last couple of years putting all of herself into opening her tattoo studio on the first floor, which is now underwater. They were only able to take a few bags with them and all of their personal belongings, including clothes, work equipment, art, etc., had to be left behind. They watched their refrigerator float away.
