Help April Fight Lyme Disease
Donation protected
Our incredible friend April Ervin has been battling Chronic Lyme Disease for nearly two decades but was only officially diagnosed in September 2017 after months of symptoms that baffled doctors. Part of the reason Lyme Disease is so difficult to treat, especially in its advanced stages, is that it impacts every system in the body.
Recently, April had the opportunity to meet with a highly renowned medical expert in Lyme Disease, who completed a series of assessments, scans, and medical tests. Ultimately, he prescribed a course of treatment he has seen work, even in complicated and long-term cases such as April’s. Realistically, this treatment represents April’s best chance at achieving remission from Chronic Lyme Disease. April’s body has been responding well toward stabilization, so the doctors feel she needs to begin this treatment by August.
Unfortunately, this exciting news comes with a downside: none of this treatment will be covered by insurance and is expensive. Below is an itemized list of the costs associated with daily IV treatments over nine months. With a target of August in mind, we have only a brief time frame to raise the funds for this life-changing treatment.
Expenses for 9 Month Treatment
IV Medications…………………………………………$60,000
DC Lyme Specialist Appointments………….....$3,510
Travel Expenses (Washington, DC)..……….…..$1,935
Daily Supplemental Medications………….….$11,439
Dietitian………………………………….…………………….$765
NC Lyme MD………………………….……………….….$1,080
Counseling Professionals……………………………$1845
TOTAL = $80,574
Please consider donating to this cause. No one more deserving and time is of the essence. Any amount you are able to contribute moves April closer to being able to undergo this treatment. Please also pray for healing, provision, peace, and wisdom as she navigates this process.
