Help Aqualani employees Maui affected by the fire!

Hello everyone! I’ve worked for this wonderful company (Aqualani beach and pool recreation) for the last 5 months! Along side some amazing and hard working staff members and bosses that have made the job such a positive and amazing work environment!
Unfortunately just like so many the fire burnt down our company headquarters in Lahaina and being a small business as it was to a degree there is unfortunately NO disaster relief pay for us employees.
Aqualani can no longer operate for the near future because course tourists are NOT coming to Kaanapali Ocean Resort and west Maui for a long time.
All of us employees LOVED our job and what we did. And now there is a handful of us who lost homes in the fire, and ALL of us that are unable to pay rent, food, gas, and even keep our basic human needs met. With unemployment being a penny of what we need to pay our bills… and for many of us we won’t even see that money for another month of two SO MANY of us are struggling right now.. and with really no other outside help for us employees. The change of a day left us without a job and no disaster pay or other ways to work.
Mahalo if you can spare a dollar for us to help us in this time of not working.
I insure you every $$ will be equally divided by us who worked for Aqualani at Kaanapali Ocean Resort! Jeffery Melcher… our boss (and the one in selfie) is the one ultimately in charge of The funds collected and will be distributing them to us employees. Money collected will be used towards us that still have bills to pay, and to support ourselves since the change of a day left many of us with no home, ALL of us with no job, and ALL OF US REALLY STRUGGLING TO GET BY.
Whilst working for a small company was amazing…. We aren’t getting that supplemental disaster pay while we aren’t able to work.
If you have stayed at Kaanapali Ocean Resort in Ka’anapali and have rented snorkel gear, used towels, had a cabana, bought retail at the pool etc This is for us who love to serve you… but we really need some help right now.
