I’m Arden Hart.
If you don’t know me I’m a trans woman. I’ve hosted a show on The Line on YouTube for nearly 3 years defending trans rights.
I am raising money for GRS, GCS, SRS, bottom surgery, whatever you want to call it. Formerly thought of as “the surgery” for those who don’t want to google those acronyms.
While there are several American surgeons who perform GRS, the method used at the Suporn Clinic in Thailand has several strengths that make me greatly prefer them over the single stage inversion method used here in the states.
The cost of the surgery is about ฿650,000 (~$18.5k in USD), but I would need to spend an entire month in recovery in Thailand per their protocol to be close in case of any complications. The extra 1.5k would cover the cost of the hotel they require you stay at after your first week and the cost of meals for myself and whoever will be my caretaker while there (presumably my mom or my partner).
Even if had the money for a down payment and could schedule it today, I wouldn’t be able to get a date earlier than 2025. So I’m hoping we can do a big push to get the money for a down payment of 20% of the surgery cost (just under $4000) to reserve a date and then use that remaining year to raise the rest of the funds.
If we make the goal and people are still supporting I might raise the goal to 25k to help cover cost of living expenses while I recover. As I work from home it should be easier for me than most to get back to work quickly. But I want to start with the basics.
