Protolab is an innovative 3D printing and robotech laboratory, founded in Noyemberyan, Armenia. With your support for seed investment, Protolab plans to reach its full operational capacity within 12 months.
Behind this startup are three 15-year old innovators: software engineer Argam Amiragyan, design engineer Hayk Budaghyan and 3D modeling engineer Hrant Ghazinyan. Despite young age, we have 2-3 years of experience in engineering, 3D modeling and 3D printing. All founders of Protolab are students at Armat engineering lab in Noyemberyan.
“We strongly believe that labs like Protolab can revolutionize 3D printing in Armenia, boost economic growth and inspire Armenian regional youth not to leave their hometowns and go to the capital, but pursue their dreams in their own regions,” - Argam Amiragyan, co-founder.
Where it all began...
Youth living Armenian regions (“marz”) has strong scientific and technological potential. Unfortunately, this potential has steadily decreased, as young men and women leave their towns to study and never come back. This brain drain and aging of the population in regions stall economic development and have a negative impact on regional infrastructure, living standards and more.
Luckily, the digital age of today opens unlimited possibilities for Armenians who live in villages and small towns. The success of Protolab’s business concept will not only set an inspirational example to youth around country but potentially inspire the repatriation of young Armenians to Noyemberyan and subsequently to their regional hometowns and villages.
