Help Aris Get a Psychiatric Service Dog
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Aris Hartman and I'm 16 years old. I’ve been struggling with mental health issues, having been diagnosed this year with bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder.
I have always loved animals ever since I was little. I made the decision to become a veterinarian when I was four years old, and my mind still hasn’t changed. I really need help to live my life independently and healthy, especially since I want to go off to college in a couple years. Right now I require a lot of assistance from my parents and doctors to be successful. I feel it would be best for me to get help from a psychiatric service dog.
I have a really tough time explaining my feelings, and talking to people about my issues, but I have a great connection with animals, so a service dog would be a big help. What a psychiatric service dog does is offer DPT(deep pressure therapy), medication retrieval, distraction from self-harm, retrieving help when needed, and helping to disrupt manic/depressive episodes.
But there is one thing- I am responsible for fund raising the total for specialized training plus the cost of the dog itself. My goal is to raise $10,000 dollars for those costs. My dog will be trained with Top Notch Service Dogs from Elkhart, Indiana. Please support me by donating toward my Go Fund Me. Anything will help! Thank you!
