Help Ariyah walk n recover from spinal cord injury

My name is Shantel I’m raising money for my daughter Ariyah who was born 5/29/18. Ariyah was born with a rare tumor a hemangioma on her spine ( so rare that there are 0 cases reported to date ). At the age of 5 weeks her tumor was successfully removed. Since her surgery she has paralysis of both of her legs. She receives physical therapy 3x a weeks and as of recent occupational therapy 4x a week. She also has hip dysphasia on her right hip and will have to have surgery. She was accepted into an extensive physical therapy program (locomotor) offered through St Mary’s hospital that is designed for Children to recover from spinal cord injuries, which is set to begin after her first birthday (which is less than a week away) Im a union worker and unfortunately my insurance does not cover the cost for her therapy, on the other my husbands insurance is an out of network provider and will cover 75% of the costs. That makes us responsible for 25% which will be $200 per visit. The initial session is 60 sessions. We will not know if she will need another set of sessions until she completes the first 60, after that she will then be re-evaluated to be considered for additional sessions. Along with this program Ariyah sees a team of specialists in Colombia Presbyterian hospital such as urologist, oncologist, orthopedic, neurologist, rehabilitation, and neurosurgeon. Ariyah lives at home with both her parents and her four siblings, who give her lots of love and attention, (not to forget the 5 others that don’t live at home with her). She has 0 to low muscles tone in her legs so she does not stand on on her one which can make bath time difficult, because of her hips she can not sit on her own, despite her spinal cord injury she is a happy baby who lites up the room with her very own little personality who brings us nothing but joy and happiness. We know that she has a long road of recovery and ask for any amount to help with present and future dr visits, physical therapy, possible adjustments of remodeling home for wheelchair, or prosthetics. We don’t know what the future holds but put everything in God’s hand and pray that she will walk one day.  # local 3 union solidarity
