Help Arlene pay for Covid parents' medical bills

Hi friends... On Feb 13, my Mom was brought to the ER of the Makati Medical Center (MMC) in the Philippines due to severe abdominal pain and diarrhea. Doctors did a lot of tests where they found her positive for Covid-19. In the succeeding days, her condition worsened, warranting her move to the ICU. By God’s grace and many of your prayers, her body began responding well to her treatment plan and regaining the strength to breathe on her own. A few days ago, she was moved from the ICU to the Covid Isolation wing at the MMC. We praise God for this!
A few days after my Mom’s hospitalization, everyone in my parents’ house including my sister who brought her to the ER got tested for Covid-19. All their tests came back negative except for my Dad’s. His symptoms included intermittent fever and dry cough and we were advised to keep him isolated at home. A few days ago, however, his cough worsened and his oxygen level decreased quite dramatically so he was brought to the ER of the MMC. Just like my mom, he’s now in the Covid Isolation wing of the hospital. While his oxygen level has to be monitored, his body is responding well to his treatment plan. We praise God for this!
As you can imagine, their hospital bills are increasing by the day. As of Feb 22, their hospital bills have amounted to 930,000 pesos (about $19,135). These don’t include their doctors’ fees. (Doctors normally bill separately). Of this amount, my sisters and I have paid Php 400,000 (about $8,230). Upon discharge, we anticipate their total bills and subsequent medications to amount to 1.5 million pesos (about $31,000), after discounts.
My Mom is expected to be discharged this Saturday while we anticipate my Dad to be in the hospital for at least a week. They’re both eager to get well and once again serve their community in Barangay Bangkal, Makati. They are active in the local church and government there.
