Help Army Vet T.Hanson defeat Brain Cancer

Army Veteran, Father, Husband, Son, Shriner, and Grandad. Tim Hanson is all of those plus so much more to so many. On Friday June 23rd, 2023, Tim collapsed in his bathroom while getting ready for work. He was rushed to the ER where scans revealed everyone’s worst nightmare; a large and aggressive brain tumor, glioblastoma. Tim is only 48 and in good health, but his life changed in an instant.  Tim was admitted into ICU and 5 days later Tim underwent a full craniotomy and the tumor was removed, however, he still has a long road of radiation & chemo ahead of him. Tim has worked as a Physical Therapist asst for 8 years at Regional One of Memphis but now faces unplanned medical leave. Tim has been married for 28 years to his wife, Debbie Hanson, a disabled Navy Veteran. They have 4 children; 2 of which are dependents. They will need help navigating their new normal while Tim undergoes treatment and its side effects. Help him go from a cancer worrier, to a cancer warrior! The goal is to raise enough money to cover insurance copays, and expenses for a few months. Debbie had a full hip replacement this year and is visually impaired/ legally blind. She will not be able to bare the brunt of her husband’s medical leave alone.  Fun fact, if you’ve ever been to the circus in or around Shelby Co, you very likely saw Tim in the ring as Sticks the Clown! He has brought joy to thousands of patrons at the Al Chymia Circus over the years and volunteered countless nights and weekends volunteering as a Shriner. Tim got his start as a Shriner when his youngest son was born with a severe cleft palette. The Shriner Hospital provided much of his son’s surgeries and Tim wanted to give back.  Tim was enlisted Army for 12 years and served in S Korea & Egypt.  His children are Anthony Willard, Shelby Willard Cheak, Alex Hanson, and Sean Hanson. Grandchildren are Bennett Cheak, Lincoln Cheak, Elli Willard, Evan Willard, and Emmie Willard. Parents are Karen and Don Hanson.  We really want Tim to be able to focus on knocking out his cancer instead of worrying about how to pay the mortgage etc! From Cancer worrier, to Cancer Warrior!!
