Help Art Kick Cancer's A$$

To know Art, is to love Art. And if you don't love Art, you're wrong.

If you've ever been to our community at Gateway Arvada Ridge, you've probably met our maintenance tech, Art. Fondly refered to as "The Closer", Art brightens the days of the residents and staff with his quick witt, positive outlook, and his boisterous laugh that can be heard from anywhere in his near vicinty. He also does a mean karaoke performance and stole the show at our annual pool party with his rendition of "Bad to the Bone".

For me personally, Art has shown up for some of my hardest days. When I had to leave town because of a loss in my family, Art left flowers on my desk for when I returned. He's also caught me crying in my office (embarrasing) and didn't fail to get me laughing with a dumb joke and a pep talk. I can only imagine how many people could say the same.

Last week, Art received the news that he has 2 tumors on his prostate. His reaction is 100% on brand, and he's remaining positive while exploring options for treatment. His words - "I know no matter what, everythings going to be OK". With his permission, we are sharing this news in hopes that we can raise some money to help cover treatment costs, travel, or any other financial burdens come his way. If you have anything to give, know that it is humbly appreciated. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider giving this fundraiser a share. Or, another failproof option, bring the man some sweets. He'll tell you he's "sugar free", but we all know it ain't the truth.
