Help ArtEdGuru's Students Experience Japan

I am an art teacher in an urban Raleigh, NC high school. I am known as Mr. Gibbons by my students and ArtEdGuru on social media. We are a tiny school, hardly a rich one, but my students are hard workers, kind, and wonderfully diverse. As an art teacher, I see my students have a passion for Manga, Anime and have even started a Japanese language club. When they heard I was going to Japan to meet up with an old college roommate, they had so many questions and asked if I might sponsor a school trip to Japan. We have had about a dozen students sign up for a 2026 summer trip to visit Japan and experience the Gion Festival, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, and take in science, cultural, and pop-cultural venues. (No Disney or Universal, we're focused squarely on an authentic Japanese experience, including a cooking class!)

They have all made deposits, but I fear several will need to cancel as the expenses of the trip become a reality. We live in an urban area where job security is not the strongest, and though all who signed up will be making monthly installments, I'd love to be able to support my high school students with some donations from my social media followers to ensure every student, no matter their race or financial situation, will be able to come.
