Help Artemis Pass Peacefully

Hi yal my name is Madi. I have raised my dog Artemis since she was a big puppy at 3 months old. I trained her and socialized her, but what she was naturally born with was a love for all people, big and small. At 3 years old she is clever enough to figure her way through baby gates of all types, and sweet enough that she goes through the baby-gate-trouble just to say hi to people on the other side. Kids absolutely adore her, and the feeling couldn’t be more mutual.

I truly believe she is the best example of the Rottweiler breed. Protective yes, and so loving and full of adventure.

But now things have taken a turn for the worst. After being the picture of perfect health her whole life, Artemis was recently found to have a mass in her chest- it’s continuously bleeding into her chest cavity and causing major breathing issues.

Every angle has been analyzed, and unfortunately there’s not options via surgery. I wish with all my heart there was more hope in this situation, no one wants hope more than me, but the best path forward is to give Artemis the relief that medication and fluid draining can provide, surrounding her with love and peace until it’s her time to go.

I’m struggling financially with the strain of so many medical bills related to Artemis’ care. Work has been slow, and I've had to take off work several days (and I suspect I will need to take off 1-2 more in the near future). Money is incredibly tight.

I’m asking for help taking care of my baby. I’m begging for the generosity of willing wallets. I’m pleading for others to share this GoFundMe, and share more than once if it’s not asking too much. This GoFundMe is my only hope to give Artemis the end of her life that she so richly deserves. If I didn't have to simultaneously stress over both Artemis's bills and my bills I would be unspeakably grateful.

I’ve estimated the costs of 2-2.5 weeks of medical care and added the costs associated with her passing. If I could reach this goal I could comfortably tend to Artemis knowing I only have my bills to worry about.
