Help Arvil Get a New Birthday Wheelchair Van
Donation protected
My name is Gavin. My wife, Callie and I are the parents of ten beautiful kids, including Arvil, my 15 year old son who has cerebral palsy and is severely limited in his mobility. Arvil is a fun kid with a smile that touches every person he meets. He seems to make friends everywhere he goes. I am reaching out to all his friends to help me do something for him. This is something he needs, it is also what he wanted for his Birthday!
You can help us make his birthday wish come true.

Arvil is able to move around with some independence with a power wheelchair. This chair requires a converted vehicle to carry it. For a few years, we have had an older wheelchair van that was serviceable, but was honestly falling apart. A few weeks ago, I was involved in a traffic accident and the van was totaled.
Vans like this, particularly with reasonably low miles on the vehicle, and with both the vehicle and the accessibility conversion in good condition, are very expensive. A good used one is usually between $40,000 and $60,000. A conversion alone is over $30,000.
I find it a blessing to be able to help others and to reach out to and serve people who have special needs. In this case, I want to offer Arvil's friends and cheerleaders the opportunity to help. This would be a great blessing to Arvil and to our family. I know Arvil's persistent cheerfulness and playful attitude have touched many of you as well.
Arvil recently had a birthday and when asked what he wanted, he said "new car." He continues to ask us several times a day about a new car or new van. It is his birthday wish that I have been trying to figure out how to fulfill.
Thanks for helping us give Arvil reliable transportation for himself and his chair.
