Help Ash after her car was hit by a semi truck

Ash is our radiant, hilarious, and incredibly generous friend who works at a local school in Pittsburgh where she manages the afterschool and enrichment programs. In addition to her full time job, she recently moved out of her Pittsburgh apartment so that she could be the primary caregiver for her grandmother.

While leaving work a few weeks ago, Ash was driving on the 376 when a semi truck changed lanes in front of her without looking first. The semi truck hit the front of Ash's car and sent her spinning several times across the highway until she stopped, facing oncoming traffic.

Ash is lucky to be alive, let alone to not have any long-term injuries from the crash. Because the trucker was at fault, his insurance will cover some of the expenses Ash has incurred. But Ash is still responsible for replacing her car which is completely totaled and has been sitting in a tow yard with nowhere else to move it.

Ash is one of the most generous people we know. She helps her friends in countless ways, literally giving us the clothes off her back when we need them. She helps the children at her school every day through her work, and she helps her family, especially her grandma, even when Ash is going through her own difficulties.

Please give whatever amount you can so that Ash can pay her medical bills and purchase a new (old) car. Ash has been without a car for 3 weeks and although her employer is understanding, she will need to start driving back into work soon. Please share this fundraiser far and wide!
