Help Ashaand get to BODYTRAFFIC's Summer Program

I was (and am) super excited to be accepted into BODYTRAFFIC's Summer Program with a full tuition scholarship this year. This program and I have met at a really transformative time in my career, and because of the scholarship I was going to be able to make it work to go. My finances have been extremely tight for the past nine months, and I was heavily relying on a fat tax return to help pay my way to Los Angeles. Unfortunately that did not quite go as I had planned, after I had already committed to going, purchased my airfare, and given Bodytraffic my deposit, so here we are. As an emancipated minor, I do not have the generational financial support that many rely on for these kinds of programs.

There is no shortage of more important things in the world, and I thought really long and hard about posting this before doing so. After talking with some people I trust, the reality I landed on is that those more important things and this less important thing can coexist. The $555 I'm asking for will cover airfare, with a little left over to offset the cost of housing. If you are able to consider donating, fantastic, and if not, a share or a kind word goes a long way as well. I'm very blessed to be so supported by my community members, and I thank you for your time and attention.
