Help Ashani & Roomies Recover After House Fire

Hi everyone! First and foremost, thank you for your support in such tragic and unexpected times. Everything donated will be distributed between me and my roommates (Ashani, Eden, Kelly and Rylie) to help rehabilitate our lives and seek shelter after the unexpected fire that burnt down our house and much of our belongings today, April 13th 2022.
Early this afternoon, after I left town for what was supposed to be a vacation…my roommates were alerted that a fire had started on our front patio by some neighbors banging on the door. Before it could be contained, the fire quickly spread into our driveway, engulfing the car, as well as our home.
Luckily everyone was able to get out safely (including the two kitties) but having to leave in such a hurry meant leaving everything behind. No one was allowed back into the house due to unsafe circumstance and right now Kelly, Ed, and Rylie are in a hotel with limited transportation and resources. I, on the other hand, am staying with friends in Arizona until further notice. None of us know what will happen next and all of us have current work responsibilities that would require us to remain in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future.
I think it goes without saying that we were blindsided and everything we have built, individually and together, was in that home. We’ve each lost entire wardrobes, expensive equipment and materials, all of our business resources, our personal items, important documents, and so much more. Years worth of saving and investing, gone in just a few moments.
Right now, we’re all just trying to take things day by day. Eden, Kelly and Rylie have talked with our landlord as well as the firemen and are waiting to determine what support is available through Red Cross. We will update everyone here as days go on and let you know what happens.
