Help Asha's Farm Sanctuary and Their Animals

Dear animal lovers,

We need your help! Asha's Farm Sanctuary, located in Newfane, New York, is currently struggling financially in the wake of a legal battle involving the care of two cows, Ismael and Little Willow. Tracy Murphy, the president of the sanctuary, was arrested and the cows were taken away during a controversial search warrant execution.

In a statement regarding the situation, Joaquin Phoenix said, “To so harshly punish a woman who was simply showing kindness to two individuals who had wandered onto her property is astounding. There was an opportunity here to show compassion and mercy.”

Last summer, two cows wandered onto the property of Asha’s Farm Sanctuary. For over a week, Tracy provided them with food, water and shelter. Despite the lack of proof of ownership by the state trooper, she continued to care for the animals in her sanctuary. When the trooper demanded she hand over the cows, Tracy refused to do so unless he could provide proof of ownership. She did what any animal lover would do and saved the cows from certain death.

Tracy's legal team is now fighting to defend her rights and those of the animals in her care. The case has sparked widespread outrage and support from animal lovers around the world and local communities who believe in the importance of providing sanctuary for animals in need.

With all that has happened, Asha's Farm Sanctuary is struggling financially and without community support, they may not be able to continue providing a safe haven for animals in need.
